BSL Level 1

Level 1 Intensive 6 Day Course 
Date: TBC
Cost: £450 per person (incl exam fee)
Closing date for applications is:- 15th February 2019

Full Days - 9.30am - 4.30pm, Monday to Saturday (may finish early on the Saturday but not guaranteed!

Join us for this year. You can achieve your level 1 certificate in 1 week!!! LIMITED PLACES

You must attend each session in full, and pass the assessments to gain the qualification.

The Signature BSL Level 1 has 3 assessments and is included in the cost. However, you must achieve these modules on your own merits, as attendance on the course does not automatically get you the qualification.

You can expect evening assignments to suppliment the course and re-enforce what you have learned during the day sessions. Due to this, we recommend as little morning/evening commute as possible.


Does Not Include Accommodation

Does Not include Lunch - there is a cafe on site on Monday - Friday 8am-3pm
There is access to tea/coffee biscuits throughout the day.

Level 1 Course - Weekly Sessions

Afternoon sessions day 5.00pm – 8.00pm (12 sessions)

No previous knowledge is required for this course, as this is the first level of sign language, and, on completion, will allow the student to conduct a basic conversation with a Deaf person. A limited number of students will be accepted onto the course to allow quality tutoring to all students.

You can expect weekly assignments to supplement the course and re-enforce what you have learned in the session.

Students are requested to bring proof of any D/deaf, DeafBlind or Disability courses they have attended.

Homework will be issued to reinforce learning in the "non-contact" hours.

On completion, the student will be able to carry on to the Level 2 in Sign Language.
